The Colors of autumn – RED is a one – day botanical tour to the  Gyulagarak “Sochut” dendropark , “Dilijan” National Park and Sevan Botanical Garden.


Yerevan – Stepanavan Gyulagarak village “Dilijan” National Park Yerevan

Leaving at 8:30 and driving north to Gyulagarak village near Stepanavan to visit dendropark “Sochut”. The dendropark consists of more than 500 species of trees and part of its territory includes natural pine forest formed with Pinus kochiana. The amazing beauty of this site inspires especially in the golden autumn period around late September-mid October. On the way to the dendropark we will see ruins of Tormak Curch (5th century). A lunch/picnic right there, on place. The program will lead us to Dilijan area, where we will have a few hours trip to the relict yew grove (Taxus baccata) and Aghavnavank Monastery (12-13th centuries) which is inside an area of a special protection on the territory of “Dilijan” National Park, the trip will include about 2,5 -3 hours of walking in the beech forest. The tour will be guided by professional botanist who will newly discover the world of trees and other plants for you. Return to Yerevan by 20:00.
