Armenia, despite on the small size includes wide variety of habitats from dry semi-deserts to alpine meadows, which are inhabited by different species of birds. In the semi-deserts, you can find such species as: Fisch’s Wheatear, Upcher’s Warbler, in the forest areas the shelter is founded by Semi-collared Flycatcher, Medium Spotted Woodpecker, in wetlands: White-tailed Plover, White-headed Duck, in the mountain steppes the inhabitants are: Radde’s Accentor and Siberian Stonechat, while the alpine zone attracts Caspian Snowcock and Alpine Accentor, Even in the gardens one can find unusual birds, such as: Syrian woodpecker and Levant Sparrowhawk. Numerous rocky canyons provide nesting places for various predators, such as: Bearded Vulture and Long-legged Buzzard.
