In Armash we will have an opportunity to see Pygmy Cormorant, Little Bittern, Purple and Squacco Herons, Black-crowned Night-heron, and Spoonbill. The reed-beds resound with calls of Reed, Great Reed and Paddyfield Warbler, whilst open waters have Marbled and Ferruginous Ducks and Red-crested Pochards. Whiskered, White-winged, Gull-billed, and Little Terns hawk over the pools for insects, whilst water meadows and muddy areas have nesting Glossy Ibis and White-tailed Lapwing. Also we would have an opportunity to see European Rollers, and European and Blue-cheeked Bee-eaters. The Oorts mountains are true semi-desert, where we can see Eastern Olivaceous, Ménétries’s and Upcher’s Warblers, Isabeline, Finsch’s, and Persian Wheatears, Short-toed Larks, and Scrub Robin.
